BodyX Kitchen and Fitness Studio was opened April, 2016.

With over 25 years of experience in both the kitchen and fitness, I created BodyX, the first studio that combines Fitness and Cooking under one roof!

BodyX was voted 2019 Best of Main Line for Personal Training. BodyX was created for the enjoyment of our clients. It is a place for people to not only work out but learn how to cook and have fun with food, after all, food and fitness go hand in hand.

My story….
At the age of 9, my Mother died from Lupus which forced my twin sister, Katherine, and I to learn to cook for our Father, a hard-working Greek immigrant from Velvendos, Greece. During this time, I fell in love with the art of cooking.
During college, I became a synchronized swimmer and my love for fitness was born. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, I became a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. There I was able to help others reach optimum health and have fun getting there.
Over the years I have seen the evolution of fitness and as the Fitness Industry grew, so did I. I learned the importance of Being Fit and Focused!
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), a Nutritional and Healthy Living Consultant through Cornell University. I am also certified to teach Spinning, Power Yoga, Strength Training, Core Conditioning, and 5 different Les Mills Programs.
In 2010, I opened the first Culinary Cooking and Community Center for Whole Foods Market in Annapolis, MD. It was a place for people to learn, teach and have fun.
Moving to Philadelphia in 2013, I always had a vision of creating a studio that combined my two passions in life - fitness and cooking.

Stop by anytime and try my passions out! Thank you for your support in the community. Frances Vavloukis, Owner of BodyX
